I went to the Health center to get my season's and swine flu vaccinations. I stood in the line of people for one and half an hours – then I turned around and went ahead again – home this time. I hadn't time enough to wait my turn, because I had to take my ride to KUH at 10:40.
At 12:15 we (concerning cases like this it's good to have someone to hold by the hand) got to go to the doctors. She examined and mostly asked the very same questions I have had to answer for many times during last two weeks.
She told the tumor found is not based on the esophagus cancer I had five years ago. It is totally new tumor. This cancer has attacked to the tonsil, so it's a tonsil cancer.
At 13:30 we got to go to the treatment meeting with many doctors and candidates and nurses. The oldest (and the wisest) examined my throat and asked several questions.
The result was that treatment begins in KUH in a near future (week or two) and that treatment method is kemo-radiation therapy. It will be given every day, five days a week for six weeks period.
Towards the end of the period mucous membrane of my mouth and troat will ”burn” and swallowing will be painful. Then it's is going to be tube-feeding and I'll be in the hospital during that time.
It will be unforgettable end of the year!
This Friday (13th day by the way) I am going to KUH again. Now to the cancer doctor appointment and yet next Monday (16th day) to KUH for X-ray.
The beginning day of the treatment will be clear after those visits – I hope.
By the way: four days, 21 hours, 26 minutes and 22 seconds without smoking! Try – It's not so difficult you think!
